One part of me is utterly repulsed by what to any socially aware human would ordinarily be just plain wrong but the other part of me simply cannot stop laughing.
Wrong on so many levels that it's come round full circle and is, at last, right.
If anyone has the ability to scrub memory please let me know. I feel a serious need to have all that I've just read removed from my mind. It's not multiple personality disorder. What you're experiencing is a social anxiety combined with a personal interest. You feel that this is an interesting topic, but you're afraid of how other people will view you knowing how you feel. It's completely normal and probably how most people feel when they view this thread. But there are a handful of outliers, who either don't care what other people think or actually do not find this thread interesting. You know who you are... -á"The Mittani: Hated By Badposters i'm strangely comfortable with it" -Mittens |

An early start down this path might be to fix the info page on corpses so that it shows who you have. You can't even trade them properly because there's no way for someone to verify that it's the right corpse and that you aren't just claiming it is.
On another note, the recent loss of my outpost saw the subsequent aquacrystallization of several large exotic dancers that I had been keeping around for entertainment purposes. At first I was outraged that someone could take them away from me, until I realized I really do still have them. If anything, they really seem happier now. Nothing to worry about, they can entertain me all day and never get tired of it. I find myself also feeling much less stress in their presence. The calm aura they emanate is really soothing.

She'll have a very special place there, her own room. with a comfy couch, and a nice view for her to stare off into space.
I'll take good care of her. I am quite certain she intends to stay in her new home for the long term, and I don't think joelinux has any intentions of giving her away in the forseeable future.

You truly have a much more physical relationship with your special one than some of us do. Sometimes I lament than I cannot spend more time with my special ones, but then I remember they are with me. Though a double pane of glass may separate us, our love can pass through all boundaries. As I lay in my quarters and gaze at them, they gaze back at me with their loving, still eyes.

I am afraid of dying, and I know that every time I die, that new clone that emerges with my memories really isn't me. Each time, a person really dies. When I go into combat, I have to face that one of these days I am not coming back.
Corpse collections soothe me because it lets me feel that in some small way...life goes on after death.
P.S. I am interested in reacquainting with my own corpses, if any of you have an older and more na+»ve twin of mine that you have been taking care of. Please send screenshots and let me know how he's doing.

Why don't we focus on treating corpses as people? Because they are people, after all. Some of us just care enough to want to clothe the unfortunate ones and continue taking care of them even after they've been through a horrific accident.
